After losing my debit card this week I think it's safe to say that I have become an official homebody despite the fact that I had said I would try to become the exact opposite of that starting this summer. It's not the greatest excuse since I can obviously just go in to get a new one, though the fact that my bank only opens 4 hours out of the whole day (maybe a bit of an exaggeration) makes hard for me to go, not to mention the fact that I need money for transit, which I don't have because I LOST MY MONEY CARD. Wow. It got a bit harsh at the end there. My apologies as this isn't your fault reader, I just have a crappy sleep cycle that makes it so I wake up exactly when the rest of the day has called it quits so, it's all on me, I assure you.

I obviously didn't let being stranded become an excuse not to post as I took to my backyard and got to work. With my $600 camera perched precariously atop my $14.99 tripod made of aluminium and held together by the hope of a broke college student I think things turned out pretty well. Shout out to the sun for helping this shoot look much better than it should have.

Losing my debit card got me to reconnect with a pretty awesome part of my childhood, when all I had was this green space to run around and have fun in. It made me realize that I don't have to leave my house to have a good time, and I'm pretty sure I forgot that until today, so thanks brain for misplacing my debit card and helping me relearn the joys of the small world behind my house.

I took so many pictures that I ended up losing track of the time until my SD card was full and my camera was dying. Plus I think my tripod was about to give up on me but honestly I was surprised it lasted as long as it did with the positions I was forcing on its twiggy little spider legs. I guess that's all I got until next time, from your favourite Backyardigan and sunflower picker.
