On Lokation Travel

Most people love vacations and some thrive on traveling as far away from home as possible while others are content to vacation locally. But, wherever you want to travel to, you can guarantee there will be a travel site that can give you details on every location. Travel has become so easy that many people no longer even bother going to the travel agent and use websites exclusively to book their vacation. The main problem is the convenience of it all and the huge savings that can be found using the internet.

This ease doesn’t always hold true however, and I have never been one to trust my entire vacation to a computerized travel site; it just seems a bit too strange to me. However, I am still of the old school and prefer to sit down with a cup of coffee and plan my vacation with a professional, face to face. My travel agent is also used to me changing my travel plans and knows that I will complain if something is not right. It is difficult complaining to a travel site and almost impossible to actually speak to a real person, plus with today’s technology it is almost impossible to say where they are in the world.

The difficulty comes with the aspect of trust and speaking to someone on a phone, who knows where, does not instill confidence. For peace of mind I like to use my travel agent and I don’t mind if it takes much longer to book the vacation or if the cost is higher because I know I can always speak to them about anything that isn’t right. One of my friends only ever uses the travel sites to book her vacations but she does like the last minute discounts that can be found which are much easier to find using the internet. There are always huge savings to be had by waiting until the last possible moment to book but you have to be flexible with your travel arrangements to do this.

This would be a great way to travel and I do envy her but I am required to give two months notice before I can take a vacation. Other savings to be made using travel sites are the costs of other day trips or tours that are not part of the main vacation. Although I actually spend time with my travel agent, I do actually carry out a great deal of research on prospective locations before I make up my mind. This way, if I book my vacation through my travel agent, should anything go wrong, I know I can go and complain in person.

A lot of people are getting enterprising when choosing the place where they want the wedding to be. This is certainly the case with Americans even though there are plenty of beautiful and attractive beaches to be found in the USA. They too are now looking farther a field and considering a Caribbean beach wedding instead. This is because the Caribbean beaches are maintained very well and this also happens to be one of the principal reasons why people want to spend their time in these islands.

There is also the wonderful climate found among the Caribbean islands which is suitable for a wedding all year long making it often more convenient to arrange than a ‘home grown’ affair. Although this isn’t the only reason - you only have to look around you to know that the location itself is incredibly romantic. To lure the potential customers, there are now many all-inclusive packages provided by resorts where you could have a free Caribbean beach wedding if the couple opts for spending their honeymoon in the resort. This of course makes it easy to enjoy the honeymoon immediately after the wedding without having to leave the venue, thereby enjoying it for longer.

Most couples will be provided with a location within the resorts development that is located in a secluded part of it and away from those that have attended the happy event. The only thing to be considered really is the individual legal requirements of the island you intend to have your Caribbean beach wedding on. To ensure it all runs smoothly, you would be wise to find out what legal matters need to be attended to well in advance of your travel date.

It is not uncommon for couple to have to be on the island for a set period before the wedding can take place and then of course there is the little matter of a local wedding license also. Usually the license fees range between 50 and 300 dollars according to the type and location of the wedding. You will also need to be aware of any specific passport regulations at the island you are visiting for your Caribbean beach wedding - a small matter like this could completely spoil everything you have planned. If your passport is out of date or there is another problem with it you could easily be turned away at the airport.
